When you ask people with ADHD why they agreed to take on so many projects, commitments, and/or hobbies.😭😭

#ADHD #ADHDTwitter

@vastidity And sometimes projects are so urgent that they write themselves onto your to do lists before you know it! But they suffer the same fate. I feel ya.
@vastidity the problem is occasionally you get a project that DOES turn out to be easy and that colors your perception forever

@vastidity

And some of us without ADHD do this

@vastidity TBH the first 80% went smoothly...
@vastidity
Also, I got distracted for ten hours super focusing on reading about building furniture and decided I should start a furniture building business.
@vastidity The full quote was "We do this and the other things...." I have always wondered what"the other things" were.
@vastidity We do this not because it is easy, but because we analyzed the difficulty in a vacuum ignoring all the other 'easy' projects
@vastidity me: I’m for sure going to cross stitch the Mystic Hunt of the Unicorn. No, not just the final tapestry, I meant all seven. Full sized.
@vastidity and also because we didn’t adequately identify what ā€œtimeā€ was….
@vastidity I laughed so hard I snorted, then I looked at the STACK of work on my desk and went to refill my coffee. (Where I'll likely get distracted by, I dunno, reading Mastodon…)
@ampersandwich #mood lol and the struggle to sip our coffee and/or tea before it gets cold.
@vastidity * Note: also applies to people without ADHD!
