Does anyone feel like sitting down in front of the computer and playing around with their notes a bit?

I just wrote down how I set up and try to maintain my (academic) reading list in #Obsidian using the #Projects plugin by @marcusolsson and #Zotero. Might post it again after the holidays, but for now, here's the description of my approach for those who asked. Thus, fulfilling my promise from this thread: https://hcommons.social/@natalie/109557676423033978

Attached: 3 images May I once again share my excitement about the #Projects plugin for #Obsidian from @[email protected]? I've finally managed to format my references from #Zotero so that they show up in Projects without any problems. Now I can finally create a reading list and easily track and change the status of books from within the Projects view. Wonderful. Can't wait to continue reading for my dissertation next year and finally track what I want to read or have read each week. But for now, it is a reading break here! @[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] #phd #literaturereview #studying #projectplanning

Awesome, thank you so much! Am tempted to try out Obsidian now. :)
Absolute kismet. Thanks for this. At time of writing, I’m working on organizing my notes on Google Sheets and was just brainstorming on how to link my notes on Obsidian.
@natalie do you mind sharing the size of your Zotero bibliography? I've been thinking I need to restructure mine to make it easier to integrate with other applications.
@natalie ah, I see it in one of your screen caps: 1235. It's good to know that Obsidian + Citations can work well at that scale
@natalie
Thank-you so much for this. I've been waiting for a use case for Projects and this is perfect. What theme are you using?

Thank you, for the great article and plugin! I am preparing my programming language learning paths for 2023 and reading your article has given me a great insight on how to set things up.

Thank you very much and happy new year 2023! 🤓

@natalie

Saw this only now, really a very useful plugin for integrating #ObsidianMD and #Zotero! I've been trying to set up a #readinglist following your approach.

Two things I haven't managed so far are custom column ordering in the table view and automatic date detection for the calendar view. Any tips on how to accomplish this?

Thanks for sharing!

@natalie @marcusolsson @obsidianmd @phdlife @phdstudents I'm only stumbling on this now, but it's great and very helpful. If only I'd been organized back when I was a student!
@natalie I'm only seeing this now, but this looks very helpful for keeping organized with reading (something I have perpetual issues with). Thanks for sharing your workflow!!
