@fencoul Brexit was a crime against a nation by Oligarchs and their little remora shark camp follower scumbags looking at you Nigel you massive twunt

@fencoul

A large proportion have no view because they are dead. Dementia carried Brexit over the line.

@fencoul I seem to recall Ian Duncan Smith salivating at Johnson’s deal and imploring Parliament that a single days debate was sufficient to pass the bill
@fencoul @david_colquhoun my thumbnail only gives the bottom half of the title—I was so surprised, I clicked through
@fencoul I can't believe, after all the evidence slapping them in the face, that even one person thinks it has been a good move.

Time for this one again (sigh) -

@essjaykeys @fencoul @Blueleafygreen

"I never thought they'd put *my* kids in the cage with the face eating leopard", sobbed the woman who voted for the Face Eating Leopard Party.

@fencoul All these articles miss the point. What Putin's 17.4m #brexshitters voted for was to fuck up other people's lives, and some of them are happy to admit out loud that fucking up their own lives as well might not have been part of the plan but was a price well worth paying.
@fencoul I’m gobsmacked that there are people who wouldn’t want to reverse Brexit, let alone 47%. Makes me question the entire poll, I mean what is the number polled, where did you recruit those being polled. And if it’s true, I can only imagine they’re just too stubborn and it would hurt them to admit they were wrong.
@SamYoung841 @fencoul They weren't wrong. They voted for #brexshit in order to fuck up other people's lives and it worked a treat. Why would they want to reverse it?
@fencoul @TimWardCam oh I have no doubt that of the government and their “friends”. But ordinary people? I’m not so sure they wanted to fuck up lives per say much less their own lives, and they still don’t want to reverse it. Maybe I give people too much credit.
@SamYoung841 @fencoul If "ending freedom of movement for good" wasn't about fucking up other people's lives I don't know what it was about.
@TimWardCam @fencoul I don’t disagree some definitely did that to be spiteful, and maybe I give people too much credit, but I think a lot of those who voted, did so because they genuinely thought it would do some good. At least I pray that’s why they voted. 🤦🏽‍♀️🙏🏾
@SamYoung841 @TimWardCam @fencoul I fear keeping out migrants was felt to be "doing good". So fucking up migrants' lives was fine, because they're seen as "other", but "we'd" be ok. The tragedy is the failure of successive governments to welcome and celebrate incomers, and spell out the cultural, social and economic benefits of migration. Now people may see they've harmed our own agricultural, hospitality, care, travel and transport sectors with that mindset.
@SamYoung841 @TimWardCam @fencoul And of course there were the many people who believed the lie that it'd provide more money for the NHS.
@ProfLouiseL @SamYoung841 @fencoul
There had to be a lie in there somewhere, as not only was all the (non-existent) £350m/week promised to the NHS, but some of it was also promised to farmers, to Cornwall, to Uncle Tom Cobley and all.

@ProfLouiseL @SamYoung841 @TimWardCam @fencoul
And it’s Deliberate, when a section of Government can persuade 17 million to vote for Brexit..

You cannot tell me that they couldn’t inform/persuade us of the benefit of migration and a diverse society.

They’ve just chosen hate, division, othering.

@jontrace @SamYoung841 @TimWardCam @fencoul yes, very definitely a choice to present migration as all negative, all about restricting others, but never about how it would restrict us.
@SamYoung841 @TimWardCam @fencoul From what I've been able to glean from why they voted to leave, it was due to racism and anti-immigrant sentiment.
@SamYoung841 @TimWardCam @fencoul One of the main architects of Brexit was Nigel Farage, a fascist piece of work who buddied up with our now former Oaf of Office at the time.
@progressiveartist @SamYoung841 @fencoul Another of the main architects of #brexshit was Putin, who paid for it. As part of his strategy of destabilising the west to the point where he thought he would get away with the invasion.
