Twitter introduces its new icon/badges and of course they cannot be distinguished from one another by color blind people because Twitter laid off everyone who thinks about accessibility in design.

“Starting today, you’ll start seeing additional icons that provide context for accounts on Twitter. In addition to blue and gold checks, you’ll see grey checks for government and multilateral accounts and square affiliation badges for select businesses.”

@evacide even if there’s someone there, they dare not question Lord Vader’s commands
@evacide I didn't expect Twitter to go full Google Chat on that, but here we are I guess.
@evacide everything they do now is totally cooked... But don't worry, they'll undo it within a day or so

@evacide the usability disaster from Elon's meddling was inevitable

@evacide As predicted, yep. Zero accessibility considerations.
@evacide what happened to the no changes without voting on it, along with just continuing to show what happens when a little kid is put in charge of a multi-billion dollar business
@evacide That's what I've been expecting. I'm not color blind but, of course, many, many people are!
@evacide They have made government entities identify as Greyface. #discordia #imdying

If I was still on bird app I couldn't make out the difference once night time settings kicked in - everything is black-and-white for 12 hours. Nobody at bird app even uses night settings.

@femme_mal @evacide nobody at that company has slept in weeks.
@evacide I believe your thesis was complete without the last four words.
@evacide I had heard about the color difference and my first thought was if there would be any kind of accessibility measures taken for color-blind folk. It's a shame and yet hardly surprising.
@evacide I mean, it's not like there's a thriving ada class action bar out there...

@evacide this is like the duct tape and plastic sheeting people introducing blue into the alert levels isn't it?

I always have to look it up: they stuck Grover between Oscar and Bert.

@evacide Back from professional design to high school projects
@evacide They haven't even make blue ones available worldwide. Saying that they want to destroy 'lords and peasants' system, they just substituted it with another one, which generates some cashflow. And now even more colors! 😂
@evacide Luckily the dunce hat script still works.
@evacide Did we forget the lesson of The Dress? Even non colourblind people can’t tell the difference between blue and gold!
@evacide Watching Musk try to software is like watching Pepsi try to human.
@evacide @simon Twitter users will be arguing whether a tick is #WhiteAndGold or #BlackAndBlue
@evacide I'm going to assume that ableism is sacred to Musk.
