I keep thinking that it can’t really be just ego, but why else is he purposely driving Twitter to become a proven failure like Truth Social? It makes ZERO business sense. Like he’s trying to tank it on purpose.
@molotovcockatiel He is taking revenge on the platform for forcing him to purchase it after he tried to back out.
@Eldictator But it’s his now. Can he really not see that? It’s his money he’s losing.
@molotovcockatiel When you have that much money you are willing to spend $41 billion on revenge.
@molotovcockatiel You have answered your own question. Research how Elon met with Putin just before this whole mess started and then denied it like crazy when a national security expert called him out. Other than complete mental breakdown (which is also COMPLETELY in the realm of possibility) it is the only thing that makes even a single lick of sense.
@seyswho Complete mental breakdown is definitely the other possibility. The behavior parallels to Kanye are weird. Are they on the same drugs? Wtf is going on?
@molotovcockatiel That was my thought, trying to tank it on purpose & claim bankruptcy. He didn't want Twitter after he did & couldn't get out of the contract.
@MiaLis79 It’s gotta be. Otherwise we’re witnessing one of the biggest downward spirals in history.
@molotovcockatiel Agree & maybe Elon doesn't care because he feels invincible? Time will tell, if he claims bankruptcy- I think it will be fairly obvious he never wanted twitter to begin with, so he's determined to ruin it.
@molotovcockatiel this is just another demonstration of why mentally unstable people should not be allowed to get into positions of power. There's been a lot of that going around lately it seems.

@evildrganymede @molotovcockatiel Our default position is something like, “He’s rich and successful, he must be smart. And not impulsive.”
Seems like our default position is wrong.

The founder/CEO of my previous company wanted to build a factory that we had no products to fill, because it would allow us to make them cheaply. Except the depreciation on the empty factory …
It did not make sense. There was no secret plan.

@trollball @molotovcockatiel Put it this way, two CEOs of companies I've worked for frequently made stupid, irrational decisions and said stupid, irrational things. My own default position at least is that most CEOs are mentally unstable lunatics, and so far I've seen nothing to disprove that hypothesis.

@molotovcockatiel "how to wargame a power coup"

That's the name of the game and what best way to do it than in a virtual environment with real results data but without the factual bloodshed.

@molotovcockatiel Is a formulaic experience of divide and silence. While previous platforms sunk under tech, this is a specific targeted experiment but using the old way of splitting media outlets to promote less opposition and public movement to any or whatever hidden agendas. The main issue, for me, is not the destruction of the platform but rather what promotes it. First step in a coup is silencing the media. And multi national investment corporations answer to very few...
@hethwill The thing is it’s been done before. Parler and Truth Social have already done what he’s doing and failed spectacularly. He must know he’s destroying the platform and his investment.
@molotovcockatiel @hethwill Fun fact: Truth Social is just a customized Mastodon instance
@Pete @hethwill Hopefully you don’t have to sell digital Pete trading cards to keep your server running. 😉

@molotovcockatiel @hethwill I was thinking that we’ll fund raise by selling a calendar of wargamers in their birthday suits with strategically placed wargame boxes…

*checks youtube subscription list*

On second thought, scratch that idea

@Pete @hethwill You’re trying to raise money, not lose money in blindness lawsuits 😂
@Pete @molotovcockatiel @hethwill I dunno, that might work if you threaten to send the calendar if they don’t pay?
@Pete @molotovcockatiel @hethwill They'd probably be worth more the the Dump ones on day one.
