The founder/CEO of my previous company wanted to build a factory that we had no products to fill, because it would allow us to make them cheaply. Except the depreciation on the empty factory …
It did not make sense. There was no secret plan.
@trollball @molotovcockatiel Put it this way, two CEOs of companies I've worked for frequently made stupid, irrational decisions and said stupid, irrational things. My own default position at least is that most CEOs are mentally unstable lunatics, and so far I've seen nothing to disprove that hypothesis.
