twitter is now a party where the hosts have gotten way too drunk and are picking embarrassing fights with their guests and spilling wine all over their own carpets and detonating long-hidden bombs throughout all their social relationships, you love to see it, burn, bird site, burn
like it or not (and i am of both minds), twitter’s advantage over all other social platforms was the number of journalists who are absolutely addicted to it, and culling all of the journalists who criticize him (there are at least four or five just in the last hour, from major outlets) is hilariously stupid from a business standpoint, because now *every* journalist is incentivized to pulverize you
@golikehellmachine pulverize you and then also bail and remove that single advantage.
@golikehellmachine And *every* journalist thinks “fuck it, it’s arbitrary rule now, might as well be banned in the first few waves for doing something fun instead of being picked off in a later random purge.”
@getyrtrouserson lmao he’s creating FOMO for getting banned
@golikehellmachine Leaving my account open is like leaving a hidden web cam at the party to occasionally watch the craziness.
@golikehellmachine Journalists, not at all noted for circling the wagons when one of their own is attacked.
@golikehellmachine The vibes right now are like a college dorm at 2 AM where you're checking in on your friends who also jumped over the back fence at the rager house party down the street the cops just shut down
@golikehellmachine anyone needing more motivation to walk away is witnessing it now.
@golikehellmachine I think have gone through all the stages of grief and am at full acceptance, that place is over
@jennyhayes it’ll muddle along until the debt payments start mounting up or the EU cuts them off or the FTC calls in an airstrike, but in terms of its existence as we know it, it’s dead, one way or another. maybe some jerkoff with thicker spin buys it out of bankruptcy
@golikehellmachine yep. gone baby gone, in every way that matters
@golikehellmachine this is why I minimize my drinking at my own parties
