counterpoint: this is a completely unreasonable and hostile way to approach discussions about user experience or privacy or values or technology and it’s why people just forego having the conversation entirely, leave it up to the nerds and hope it works out for the best (and for *most* people, it does).

the problem, in case you’re curious, is that a bunch of real employee data ended up in a series of demo/training videos i made, not because i skipped due diligence — i didn’t — but because my client keeps employee data in multiple unsynchronized systems, not all of which i have access to, apparently. today is now redaction wednesday.

sweet, as a contractor, i absolutely wanted to deal with a massive fuckup that is not my fault on the day all the full time employees sign off for the holiday.
