Kevin McCarthy privately called for Twitter to ban certain Republicans—now he claims outrage that Twitter banned certain Republicans.

Donald Trump had the chance to do a prisoner swap for Paul Whelan—now he claims outrage that Biden didn't swap for Whelan.

The GOP voted unanimously to cut taxes for billionaires—now they claim outrage that the deficit has grown just as they knew it would.

The GOP has no values. They are power hungry extremists. Please get active, get organized, & vote them out

@QasimRashid Didn't we just try to do that?
@QasimRashid Kevin McCarthy is just a cowardly moral vacuum's cowardly moral vacuum. He isn't actually insane.

@QasimRashid
What happens when fascists are in the minority?

Voting them out will not stop the slow motion coup from the fascists.

@DavidPetraitis Agree. Hence why I prefaced the voting with activating and organizing. It's not just about showing up on election day. It's about doing the work on the ground for months and years before election day to drown them out permanently on election day.
@QasimRashid
Start voting every year, whether it's city, town, village, county, state or Federal. EVERY YEAR!
"All politics is local"
That phrase dates back to 1932, although former Speaker Tip O'Neil said it in the 1980's and used it as a policy against his opponents in their own state.
Go after the local politicians that take money from big corps and billionaires.
Keep doing it EVERY YEAR.

@QasimRashid perhaps this type of toot needs a CW?! We don't all want to hear about Trump.
@QasimRashid I’m definitely not for the Republicans, but it’s hard to root for the Democrats when they showed a couple weeks ago that they’re also not for worker’s rights. Given that they blocked that railroad strike and sided with the CEOs.
@Meatwharf15 Agree and I loudly condemned that injustice enabled by Dems as well. My view is being a Democrat nowadays is a start, but we also need Dems who will fight for working families—and one sign they will is if they reject corporate money. Too many dems still take corporate money. Unacceptable.
@QasimRashid It feels like we’re in the Star Wars universe choosing either the Republic or the CIS, especially since there hasn’t been any real effort to federalize Roe v. Wade in the decades since it passed. Kind of like it was used for fundraising.
@Meatwharf15 @QasimRashid I’m not an expert on the subject, but from what I’ve read thus far, it was the republicans that blocked the sick leave for the rail workers. Democrats just took what they could get rather than let a strike ruin the progress that has been made on The economy. My hope is that they will continue to actively negotiate a decent bargain for the workers without holding the rest of us hostage. #BillionairesSuck
@AngryAtheistTruckDriver @QasimRashid Republicans did block it, yes, but Democrats should have stuck to their principles and let the workers strike, rather than forcing them to agree to the CEOs demands, like every other strike-breaking administration.
@Meatwharf15 @QasimRashid I don’t disagree (completely), however it’s not that black-n-white. We are in the throes of what could become a monumental (Republican induced) recession. If they would’ve allowed a strike, at this point, the effects would have far exceeded the “we need to make a point” stage and would have pushed us over the edge. A recession of that magnitude could easily become another Great Depression. So we just have to take it on the nose for now. IMO
@QasimRashid Oh, Paul Whelan, the guy who tried to steal thousands of dollars and was thus dishonorably discharged from the Marine Corps, but for some reason the right/ignorant thinks he still deserves to be referred to as a Marine? That Paul Whelan?
@QasimRashid Nah, I'll vote for the party that supports Amend 1 and 2, commie.
@QasimRashid It's that dark money at work. We need to stop Citizens United.
@QasimRashid Qevin doesn't know what to do with himself, marjorie and the rest of them have him going in circles🤷🏾‍♀️
@QasimRashid
I'm so glad I found you on here.
@QasimRashid I think the GOP who are the worst enemies of democracy could be class action sued until they weep.
@QasimRashid
all true and all they do is for themselves, not anything for anyone who votes for them even, especially if they have no money to pour into their campaigns. Carry on
@QasimRashid We've got to be more aggressive. Make more noise and be loud. When we see these, call them out for what they are, lies. Put them on the defensive.
@QasimRashid
Is there a reason why this does not have a #USpol tag attached?
There are a lot of non-americans out here who do not care to be bombarded by your internal failings.
@QasimRashid
Floridian here.
How? I’ve done everything possible. The last straw for me was that my district was so brutally gerrymandered (yes, gerrymandered not re-districted) that I lost the representative I had voted for, donated to, campaigned and fought for. With just a slight advantage in Republican registration, the GOP has managed a 20-8 advantage with the gerrymandering. Are people here totally corrupt and ignorant or are the good people being silenced?

@QasimRashid Well said. Deficit is only a problem when they are not in power, don't you know.

They're shameless.

"Shameless" is actually an insult in some languages ("sinvergüenza" in Spanish, for example).

@QasimRashid

If not for the bifurcation of journos into seemingly two camps - access and ignored - one would wonder why no one forces these bullshitters to admit with their own mouths no words they say have meaning to them.

it’s not hard. it’s disciplined and has slight risk but if this random chick from sim city figured it out others have and could

except that access journos cultivate access to push the accessed party’s agenda in exchange for access

and ignored journos are ignored

@QasimRashid Could have went with:
"The GOP has no value."
@QasimRashid I believe the modern GOP is a consequence of adopting a win-at-any-cost strategy a decade or so back.

@QasimRashid
A movie got me to thinking about one of the greatest British leaders of the modern era, Winston Churchill.

He was the voice and strength of England, and an unrelenting foe of Hitler. Let your recollections of Churchill, from news reels, print, whatever, occupy your mind.

Now imagine Kevin McCarthy, a tower of jello, trying to fill his shoes.
