I visited a garden today that I’ve been going to for over 50 years, and thought it would always be accessible. But it’s been sold and may be developed. I took a ton of photos, as it could very well be the last time I see the place. Everything looked so beautiful to me, like I was seeing for the first time, instead of the last. For some reason, I burst into tears when I saw this tree trunk. Bittersweet.

@jaymcor It was really cool to have that insight, the feeling of seeing things for the first time. I want to grow that feeling, and pay attention in that way more often, even when looking at something I’ve seen many times.
