Because it's not really a cookbook.

Today I learned that someone removing a post does not remove the replies. Or at least I can't find what I replied to.
The post I'd replied to pointed out the Bible doesn't specify who should feed the poor. Government or church.
It's not laid out because the assumption is that it's a human responsibility.
and a little bit of a silly fellow
God will never giver you more than you can handle.
The world, though? Life? Oh yeah, they pull that crap ALL the time...
LOL!
I was about to get so mad, but then you made me laugh in the second half.
Still frustrating that it seems to be the way of things, or at least how "religious" people think.
"When God closes one door, he opens a trap door somewhere else."
This explains a lot.
At least in the minds of folks who encourage people to just try harder.
Thank you for saying it so plainly
@JoParkerBear Ironically, Christians who use this expression seriously are missing a crucial point. God SHOULD be giving them more than they can handle so that they have to turn to and rely on him to give them now strength. 🤔🤔🤔
Former Christian here, BTW. 🙃🙃
@JoParkerBear
Totally spot on. 👍
And anyway: People who think they need a god are just too lazy to do stuff themselves.
"God works in mysterious ways."
Nope. He/she/it/whatever doesn't. He's fictional.
@JoParkerBear there’s no such thing as god, but if there were and he got angry, he should feel free to shower down piles of cash on me. That’ll show me for being poor and wretched.
Or there use, he can just fuck off.
