I can literally hear this image...
@KingShawn I can feel the sting.
@JasonW LOL Me too! I wasn't what you would call nimble as a kid. :)
@KingShawn I had a strategy.. jump in front of a slow ball early and get out of the game. Wasn’t my strength.

@JasonW Brilliant strategy except my competitiveness wouldn't let me. :(

But today, if I somehow found myself in an underground, illegal dodgeball match - yeah...I'm doing that. :)

@KingShawn good luck with that. Sounds too much like Fight Club to me. I’d prefer a book club.
@KingShawn Not only heard, but felt the pain of getting smacked by one or ten of them being shot at me...
@qlp LOL Me too! I wasn't what you would call nimble as a kid. :)
@KingShawn I wasn't nimble and I was an absolutely nerd/geek/dweeb of a kiddo, so that I meant that I was the target of anything and everything, including getting pelted with those at dodgeball or just a kid just yelling "catch!" randomly.

@qlp I had a weird childhood. Up until 10 years old, I was the short, fat kid every mean boy in my neighbourhood beat up on.

We moved away...

We moved back two years later.

In that time, I grew a foot to six feet tall and weighed 185lbs.

I spent the next two years hunting down and beating the ever-loving SHITout of EVERY kid who ever teased me. 😂

@KingShawn I was a short and fat kid with some lovely pituitary system fun. 6th grade was the hardest as I had skipped 5th grade and I was doing math and science stuff a few years ahead of everyone else; so, I had to deal with kids (and later teens) that were one year older than the ones that I would have been dealing with.

I moved from one side of the metro area to the other after 6th grade; so, I didn't have to deal with any of them anymore.

@KingShawn

Damn...I can too. High pitched, tinny, airey, ..

@KingShawn Do they still make those?

@CypherCloudsculpter No idea. The terms of my parole don't let me to go into school gymnasiums any more...

😂

I know a lot of places have banned dodgeball and other games like it (my stepson's elementary school wouldn't even let kids play Tag) but I bet there are remnants of it out there.

@KingShawn And smell it.
@Eshivak LOL RIGHT!? They had a *very* particular odour about them, didn't they?
@KingShawn Eau de Gym Socks, Regret and the fight for social precedence.
@KingShawn I saw this and immediately said “slow baby no bounce” out loud to the confusion of my wife.
@KingShawn I can feel it in my hand.
@KingShawn Up to 4th grade these were my friends.
@KingShawn I literally recall the smell of it. Guess that's telling of a few face smashes 🤔.. 😂
@KingShawn synaesthrauma
@zappaszep That was either a spelling mistake or you're having a stroke... :)
@KingShawn I can hear it, smell it and feel it. Great memories. That was the last time I was really good in sports.
@KingShawn I can feel it hit my face. 🤣
