Woke up today with the excitement of having made progress and the will to continue. Only #Amiberry would no longer start on the #SteamDeck - did I dream it all last night?
After careful investigation, I found what was different: yesterday, I had an external monitor connected, which also presented itself as an extra audio device. Today, I didn't have that connected, and #Amiberry crashed during the audio devices enumeration on startup.
At least I know where to look now...
Thanks to @kickoffworld for the suggestion, here are some videos of #Amiberry running on #SteamDeck - Launching it from #Steam, then running Jim Power (WHDLoad) as a test.
Does it run #Workbench, you say? Of course it does! #Amiberry running #AmigaOS 3.2.1, on the #SteamDeck - here I'm using a backup of my A4000 drives.
Regarding games and demos, everything I throw at it runs full speed without breaking a sweat (CPU usage around 50%). And I haven't even implemented JIT on it yet, so there's room for more cool stuff (portable Lightwave rendering machine?)
