Anyone out there who can help me with some research? I’m looking for a resource that lists PC part prices from the late 90s (specifically early 1999). The magazines and catalogs I’ve found tend to omit things like CPUs and motherboards in favor of full systems. Is there an old mail-order site archived by the Internet Archive, for example, that I should check out?

I’d really like to be able to use an Eve motion sensor in a mailbox. Reason being is they use Matter over thread so they can be used with your smart home platform of choice and the batteries last longer because thread is low power. It’s also got a pretty wide range rating for temperatures it can operate in. Problem is the built in antenna isn’t going to do much good inside a metal box like that and I haven’t found a better alternative that’ll meet all the checkboxes.

This is the circuit board from inside an Eve motion sensor. I wonder if adding an external antenna is as simple as just adding a socket to the ANT2 pads out of there’s more missing. I really don’t know jack shit about this beyond the socket type and there look to be other component spaces left empty.

It’s something special when I’m told that Tennant and Sheen aren’t British and me claiming they are (which they are, Scot and Sheep aficionado respectively) why Europeans hate Americans.

Pretty impressive how someone got everything wrong except for making Americans look bad… Everyone else (Tennant, Sheen, and me) are Europeans.

(I should get my citizenship, and will then call myself American.)

Berlin makers, who could cut out a hard disk mounting plate for my Sharp X68000 from some plastic or acrylic sheet? (See photos.) Yes, I find companies out there, specialized in this, but I'd much rather support a maker community. However, I literally know nothing about how this works, so any input is welcomed.
