LadyOzmaHere’s my #bookishadvent for today! This is a #scifi #space #cozy #mystery. Yes there’s a #dinosaur member of the #spaceship crew. There’s an AI. The ship is small, the crew is vaguely misfits, there’s a horrible ex, & the captain is a woman. This cover & title made me laugh & I liked the idea of a sci-fi cozy. It was a fun #book & I fell in love with the crew. I #read this #ebook, then listened to the 2nd as an #audiobook. @bookstodon @audiobooks

I figured it would go either way & sometimes those really terrible ones are so amusing they end up good. I read one like that at New Years that had me in stitches it was so bad. Personally I really liked this one.

For a book titled so basically as “Space Murder” I figured if nothing else it would be good for a laugh. It ended up being quite enjoyable and I have read the sequel already. There is a third one I need to get and it’s on my list for winter. :)

@audiobooks @bookstodon @HagaBaudR8 it really is. I like that the author went for not all humanoid. I just read a free short story that was the same… not everything is humanoid. Like I get that it’s just EASIER (especially for tv/movies) to go with humanoid but people are complaining about it a lot so I’m glad authors aren’t responding.

@LadyOzma @audiobooks It’s #1 on my wishlist. I have to wait until my bills clear before diving into what is left over. I have been jonesing for a new book. I am currently rereading the Bartimaeus trilogy by Johnathan Stroud. I need something fresh. ❤️

@HagaBaudR8 @audiobooks not to enable you or anything, but I know in a lot of states in the US there are reciprocal libraries so you can have multiple cards. Also try to get a card that also gives you hoopla. :) idk where you are located but see if your location has multiple libraries. If not, google. Some will allow you to pay for a card.
@LadyOzma @audiobooks LMAO enable away! But regrettably, since I moved to the center of Wyoming away from the bright lights, big city life. Things are WAY slow and borderline backwards in my neck of the endless valley planes. My county just has one library and doesn’t have a connection to hoopla yet. Even movie releases take a few months to get here after they hit the national theaters. I will check google though.

@LadyOzma @audiobooks uuggh My county doesn’t have it 🥺 Neither Libby or Overdrive can find the title. I will read this book eventually. I might have time next week to walk to the library and risk a late fine next month. Totally worth it. If they have it. I do live in the middle of nowheresville.
@HagaBaudR8 @audiobooks if you live in nowhere see if your area has a bonus library. Like Georgia US has a rural library on Libby that’s amazing.
@LadyOzma @audiobooks Yeah. I did. We suck out here. Also, on a side note not related to this string. The names of a few business chain stores out here can get pretty spicy. We have a gas/convenience store chain called Cum & Go. Can you believe that $#!+?! Boner Ranch, Dirty Annie's, and I swear to Zues himself; Jack’s Hole. At least this town has a sense of humor.
