It’s a lovely morning for a lie in and a cup of catmint green tea.
My partner has been diagnosed with treatment resistant #Bipolar #Depression. So we are taking days one step at a time. This time last year he was heading into a #Manic episode, he’s missing the energy, happiness and feeling of spiritual connection. His meds are still being sorted out. I’m curious, folks with Bipolar, what has helped you feel contented?
For me it’s birdwatching, meditation and arts/crafts.

@Snu For me it' painting miniatures. Having to focus on such a small and intimate object helps me when things sometimes begin to spiralout of control.
@Snu I totally get that! When my mood is elevated I'm like "Ohhh this is amazing! but I sure would like to be calm," and then when it's down I'm "ugh this sucks, I'd love to be elevated."
"contentment" is probably my most elusive feeling. The things that get me close are getting into creative "flow" - like composing some music, or building with legos, or doing creative writing.
@cb Absolutely! It’s a constant balancing act. 💜
@Snu contentment and bipolar hmm , the strategies of stoicism, pharma, and realizing it is a forever deal help. But it has taking most of my reasons for living so I don’t know about content.
