@pantransautie @actuallyautistic I hate when people do this. I always tell parents, “It’s their diagnosis. They have a right to know it and they’re never too young.”
@dramypsyd @pantransautie @actuallyautistic my son was diagnosed at aged 6 and we never delayed telling him, but it’s taken time for him to have an understanding (which I’m not sure he fully does yet).

@peppernut @dramypsyd @pantransautie @actuallyautistic I thought about getting that book actually, he’s just not much of a book fan even if someone else is reading.
@KirstyKP @dramypsyd @pantransautie @actuallyautistic it's pretty much just adorable cat pictures with like, a sentence under each. My daughter loves it.
@peppernut @dramypsyd @pantransautie @actuallyautistic I’ll get a copy then, he should be willing to look through. Would be helpful to share with other kids too so they can have some understanding too!
@KirstyKP @peppernut @dramypsyd @pantransautie @actuallyautistic I love this book and agree with others it’s a good way to communicate some basics about Autism, to kids and also adults. There are companion books on dogs (#adhd ) and birds (#anxiety ) too, which I’m just about to buy.
@TryingKindness @KirstyKP @peppernut @pantransautie @actuallyautistic Omg I didn’t know about the bird one!
