Before Elon took over Twitter we did between 3 and 4 million per day on average.

Today we hit a new record with 43.869.665 (43 million) and still counting

This is the part that delivers your posts, performing actions like follows, favourites, boosts etc

@stux @joshsternberg Is there a way for users to have their own set of custom emojis? Should be a simple implementation, user’s home instance adds them just like regular customs, at which point they just come across as normal.

I ask because I am used to having the full suite of blobs and cat blobs on my #mattermost server

@stux I'm still really impressed, that most instances held up with the gigantic influx of new users. Tumblr in contrast collapsed afaik.
I suppose being able to close registrations on an instance really helps with this since it forces people to split up on other instances

@stux Those are some pretty amazing numbers. Mind sharing how much the user base has grown in the same time period? It would be interesting to see how much the growth in activity is simply due to more people being here vs. people who were already here becoming more active.

I certainly have become more active because more of the people I know from Twitter are now here, so I can interact with them. Wondering if that's the case for many others too.
