If you "Log in with Twitter" to any websites, get ready for that to stop working. Maybe the sites will send money to Musk, but maybe they won't. You need a Plan B, right now.
The next time you use any navigation device, software or Google Maps thank Dr. Gladys West. Her contributions to the mathematical modeling of the shape of Earth, and her work on the development of the satellite models that were eventually incorporated into  the Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. #BlackMastodon #BlackHistoryMonth

Yes we are aware of Avian H5N1. The fact of the matter still stands currently:

➡️ Huge mortality in birds worldwide (200+ million)
➡️ No humans infected with this influenza yet
➡️ Cases are here as well in US

These are highly disruptive and yes deserves attention from everyone

This is what I've been clumsily trying to say in media recently. We now have waves of COVID with lower peaks and higher troughs. This is what "hyperendemicity" looks like. So yes, the official pandemic could justifiably be declared over, as that is an administrative definition. But functionally, what we're looking at is a *sustained* assault on our already overtaxed health care system for the foreseeable future.

Solutions? Better treatments, better vaccines (mucosal ones), better engineered built environments.

Tonight's speech was the most difficult I've listened to in 300+ days. Very raw and emotional. I can barely keep it together and I didn't know who these people were until Wednesday. But he knows he has to.

In an interview with German news on Thursday: "Emotionally, to be honest, it's unpleasant, it's pain, the loss of people, loved ones. [...]

I'm used to it, I have to get used to it. And I just don't have another choice. I have to set an example for the employees, the team, the people. An example for everyone. Fortitude, and this is right, normal, because we are in a period of war, and in a period of war people will lose, unfortunately, people will lose people.

The main thing in this case is not to lose faith that we will win."

“BBC job application says: "You cannot be considered for a public appointment if you fail to declare any conflict of interest"

Candidates must disclose anything which could later undermine confidence in appointment

Sharp didn't tell panel. MPs on pre-hearing did not know ”

So who were the MPs and other people on the panel ?

What did the know or suspect?

#PrinceHarry describes his life thus far as ‘a cross between the Truman Show and a zoo.’ Much of what he describes is the rough&tumble of normal family life. But what’s unique about the Windsors is the malevolent fishbowl in which they are forced to live, which causes heavy psychological damage to them& infantilises the society in which they are embedded. #BookReview #Biography #Spare @YorksBylines https://yorkshirebylines.co.uk/society/book-review-spare-by-prince-harry/
Book review: Spare, by Prince Harry

Spare sounds an alarm on archaic, class-ridden society: enough is enough

When the NHS is weak, that’s when predators like Sajid Javid & David Davis start circling and testing defence responses.

And we know there are many healthcare companies waiting behind them.

The NHS cannot be trusted with the Tories. The appetite to kill & sell it is clear.

Anyone else doing their tax returns right now?

I'm bricking myself that I might have missed £27 million somewhere.
