Ok an die #Foss Community draußen. Wie hoch ist die Hürde ein #matrix Server selbst zu hosten? Zielgrösse 30 Nutzende, Server Location wäre Deutschland. Nutzung von Screensharing und Video Calls auch in Gruppen. Wir nutzen gerade 80% Slack, 20% #Mattermost.

So I stood up a Mattermost instance for customer notifications. TrueNAS made it simple, and my Virtualmin+NetBird setup makes it easy to expose it to the world. I'll probably keep this setup until TrueNAS gets generic webhook alert support.

Pfoaaa, ça devient compliqué les apps de messagerie... Chaque groupe pro,amis,famille,communauté x ou y utilise une app différente et je me retrouve avec #signal, #whatsapp, #messenger, #slack, #element, #mattermost, #discord...
Et la charge de me souvenir qui utilise quoi...
Pourquoi y a pas un protocole commun ouvert pour avoir une seule app ? 😡
