Hi I'm Miyanda, #introduction

Currently career-changing and in yr 1 #softwareengineering degree, before that I worked in SEN teaching and the NHS.
I'm navigating dynamic #disability and i talk about that sometimes.

My vibes are pure Beyonce, New & Middle Era Star Trek and true blue ChelseaFC -no, i am not watching the World Cup #FIFAiscorrupt

I wonder is there a good 3rd party client for #ios?

@emmessenn welcome Miyanda! I’ve found Metatext very intuitive to use with my iPad. It’s got clearly distinct sections for timelines & search.

Yes, more or less. There are *some* limitations seeing every post on other servers, but for the most part your federated timeline will be global.

@emmessenn @hoos30 @tessbarnes ah, can you explain this more? I’m using Metatext and constantly running into “we aren’t going to show you posts of people you follow from other servers.”

Which would suggest the “it doesn’t matter what server you pick” is a lie, but is it just the app and not my server doing that?

Seems good to keep a couple apps because each has some useful unique features.
