If youā€™d like people to follow you back, it is really useful to have a profile pic/ avatar and bio already filled in. Itā€™s hard to know who people are without!

Of course, if you donā€™t care about followers, just ignore me!

As Iā€™ve been told already, the best way to make connections here is to browse, post, reply, boost etc. It will come.

But if Iā€™ve missed you in the meantime, please nudge me to follow back!

@gem_abbott I've been here for 5m so what do I know, but so far a really useful thing has been people having a link to their Twitter profile in their Mastodon bio. Makes it really easy to see if you already follow them there.
