I write #middlegrade (my #debut #book Lei and the Fire Goddess comes out with #penguin 6/6/23) and #ya for now, and also have an #adult #nf coming out next April about #backpackingwithkids. Most of my books have #hawaiian themes in them. I'm awkward, tend to be blunt, and have a ton of ideas (that I struggle to execute/complete) (woo #adhd!). So happy to meet you all!

@AmberJFrost I totally wrote this in an attempt to get my kids to learn more about their heritage (but now they're probably too old to actually read it 😝 maybe when they have kids!)
@maliamaunakea That's amazing and wonderful! I've definitely held onto bits of my childhood in Hawaii, and have tried to make sure the kids have age-appropriate stories that we can share, too.
