This project is intended to prevent against election mis-/disinformation.
Unsure whether you're following an imposter?
1) Click the "Verified by" link in their profile, it should take you to https://fedified.com
2) Now, click the Mastodon link next to their name at https://fedified.com, it should take you directly back to their Mastodon profile
That's all I can do for today. I've been up over 36 hours. I'm not the spry intern anymore, and I need to sleep.

Jay: you need to add the backlink to your Mastodon profile by going to "edit profile" -> scroll down to the section that says "Profile metadata" then enter "Verified by" in the first box on the top row and "fedified.com" in the second box on the top row

Thank you so much! If I’m reading right, what we need to do is add to our first / topmost metadata profile column: “verified by” and then in the second column “https://fedified.com”. ? And then at some point maybe a green check will appear.
