@JudyHelfrich "Keep on subbing" would imply that I have actually subbed anything l. I have trouble going longer than a single scene usually, which is why most of my work is vignettes.

@lacqui Vignettes are fun! I write plenty of flash fiction myself. Have you considered subbing any of it? Lots of markets for short fiction.

I'm also writing (mostly) #scifi fiction here in Calgary. Only one published story so far, but I have several other pieces floating around looking for a place to land.
I'm also part of the Just Write meetup (and discord) group here in town. It's a pretty good place to talk writing and trade crits.
