Hi I'm Jay! I'm a writer, editor & developer who works in comics, games & books. I love #scifi, #fantasy & especially #StarTrek, #StarWars, #WheelofTime, #TheWitcher and way too many more to tag. BIG #BioWare fan, so expect to see loads of #MassEffect and #DragonAge here. I'm also a cosplayer with 120+ costumes. I stream video games, comics discussions, #TTRPG, art & cooking. I LOVE talking #comics, #cosplay & #games, so feel free to hit me up! Boosts appreciated ❤️
@JayJustice I just started running a #Pathfinder2e campaign
@Mwangangi nice! I'm starting a Cypher System campaign tomorrow, we've had a session zero and 0.5, I'm so excited to start the journey with the homies
@JayJustice Welcome! I haven't read wheel of time but I've been looking for more #cosmere fans on here! Also a fan of a lot of the other things you mentioned. Great #cosplay on your profile.
@Eliot_L thank you! Wheel of Time has the benefit of at least being finished so you don't have to wait for new installments if you do decide to read it! The Amazon Prime show is really good as well! Yeah I LOVE Mistborn & everything else Brandon Sanderson writes honestly. I was a Robert Jordan fan first but very happy when they announced Brandon would be finishing up WoT. Thanks! The current struggle is finding time to make more costumes while also running out of space for the costumes I have😆
@JayJustice Love to see more #WheelOfTime fans coming on board. How excited are you for the upcoming #DragonAge game?
@hybridhavoc yessss I LOVE #WheelOfTime! and I am super hype for more Dragon Age! I love everything we've seen so far and I just know the new game is going to be amazing <3
@JayJustice @hybridhavoc There are literally dozens of us! Stoked to find #WheelOfTime fans already here and thriving!
@zeusthunderloins and that's how you get a follow from me.
@JayJustice Do you have a favorite BioWare game?
@layla I love so many of them but I'd have to say the perfect combination of gameplay, story, characters, design and music for me is Mass Effect 2. The vibes are ✨immaculate✨🤌🏿

@JayJustice I think I'd have to agree, I loved the companion centric story and the suicide mission was freakin' fantastic.

Though hours wise, I've probably played SW:TOR the most. lol

@JayJustice I see #theexpanse or #battlesstargalactica isn't on that list ,Jay 😜

I might have to block you 😉😂

@scene_cachet lol feel free to curate your online experience however you like 😂 #BattlestarGalactica and #stargate are absolutely right up there with my all time favorites. I enjoy the expanse but I need to watch more of it before it joins my personal hall of excellence. That's the problem with working 9 jobs, no time to watch shows anymore!! 🥲

@JayJustice > comics
😃

Which are your favorites?

@person oh boy my favorite #comics?? I have SO MANY! I love Formerly Known As The Justice League, anything with the Superbuddies is just so much fun. I have hundreds of Fantastic Four, Avengers, Black Panther & X-men comics, the complete Sandman, everything Gail Simone writes, Amy Chu's work, Stjepan Sejic's work everything Stephanie Williams writes, Superman Smashes the Klan is a fave, Far Sector is excellent, I'm really loving Superman: Son of Kal-El (I'm a big Superman fan in general).

@JayJustice I love, LOVE Superman Smashes the Klan! One of my favorite Superman stories for sure. Son of Kal El is ok, it gets better as it continues but it's not something I would revisit that often. Action Comics is the much better series of the two for me.

But yeah, love Superman, one my favorites as well 😁

@JayJustice Another one of my favorites is Old Man Logan, fantastic series that made me love the character.
@JayJustice I'll always boost #MassEffect
@mcneely SAME. #MassEffect is my favorite game series of all time. What's your favorite class to play as? I love playing vanguard. I didn't see a ton of #N7Day posts on here (my server was down for most of the day) but I posted my own Shepard build when we were back online. I can't count how many times I played the og trilogy, but the Legendary Edition will always be special to me since I got to work on that one ❤️
@JayJustice I mean if you're gonna play #MassEffect I feel like you HAVE to play with biotics! That's one of the defining characteristics of the series. I definitely LOVED playing Vanguard, especially in ME3. (Got the collectors edition of that one 😉 )
@mcneely I absolutely agree, biotics are so fun to play with and so interesting as a concept!
#MassEffect is the only game that I have on every possible platform as well as collectors editions, they're going to put the disks in my coffin with me when I die 😂 I hope they have ME3 multiplayer in the afterlife 🤣
@mcneely @JayJustice Nothing compares to zipping around the room, blasting Reapers in the face with your beloved shotgun, Novaing the shit out of everyone around, charging right to the next baddie & punching & shooting & punching again, pressing charge but OH NO still on cooldown, getting shot to pieces, quickloading, rinse and repeat. 10/10, would chargenovashootpunch them all again all day long 💝
@mosu @JayJustice one of the most satisfying feedback loops of gameplay I have ever experienced
@mcneely @JayJustice Absolutely! And that continued in Andromeda (which I actually really like, especially the combat). So much fun!
@mosu @mcneely I love #MassEffect Andromeda! I continued my Andromeda playthrough for N7 Day over on Twitch, after we spent a solid hour and 45 minutes analyzing the 25 second video BioWare posted 😂
@JayJustice @mcneely With how much hate Andromeda got back on release (and even to this day), I often found myself feeling somewhat guilty for enjoying it quite a lot. Maybe I'm simply pretty forgiving for all the bugs that were there at launch? Sure, its storytelling wasn't on par, and it sure enough didn't have Jennifer Hale, but then again, I've had a LOT of fun with it. Like… four (or five?) times 100% playthroughs like fun. Its combat? Best in the ME series IMHO. Anyway, love them all 💗
@JayJustice well, if that isn't worth a follow, I dunno what is!
@JayJustice A lot of the same interests here! Games, comics, cosplay. :) I am a total nerd lol
@thatcuttlefishfan awesome! what are some of your favorite games and comics?
@JayJustice Comic-wise, I like some manga (although I am extremely picky about it, and I read more of it when I was younger, so it's mostly older stuff, like Fruits Basket, Tenchi Muyo, etc.) I also like some Marvel and some DC. I like Marvel and DC movies as well. I also like nerdy TV, such as "Futurama" and "Doctor Who". I love WoW and Pokémon game-wise, as well as 7 Days to Die. Lore-wise, though, WoW is my thing.
@JayJustice Believe it or not, I suck at game mechanics, and so I tend to RP better than I raid. Which is partly why I am more lore-focused when it comes to WoW. I am most familiar with Sin'dodei/Quel'dorei (Blood Elf and High Elf) lore in WoW, as well as lore regarding the Third War from both the Human and High Elven perspectives. I am pretty familiar with the Forsaken (freed undead lore) and by default, very familiar with the lore around two prominent characters, Sylvanas and Arthas.
@JayJustice What about you? What are you into? :)
@thatcuttlefishfan You're commenting in reply to my intro post where I list a lot of things I'm into, asking me what I'm into? 😂
@JayJustice Oh, good point. XD I think I did that as a sort of autopilot response. Sort of like when you leave the doctor and they say feel better, and you accidentally say "You too!"
@JayJustice I am so nerdy when it comes to WoW lore, in fact, that I got obsessed with learning Thalassian (the language of the High Elves, Blood Elves and Void Elves). Unfortunately, it's not a full language, so much to my dismay, I only can learn a few words and phrases. XD
@JayJustice Okay, I re-read the list. I am familiar with a lot of what you listed. "Star Wars" I am very familiar with, but I am oddly not as into it as some. I like the original films, but the more recent stuff is just okay. "Star Trek" is one I probably would like, but haven't really gotten the time to watch it.
@JayJustice Regarding "Star Wars", I actually have a funny story. Back when Blockbuster was still a thing, they had a raffle going for a life-sized Yoda. I was about ten years old at the time, and I remember asking my dad to put a couple tickets in for him, which he did. We never expected anything, of course, but one day my mom got a call from Blockbuster, telling her that I won Yoda. I still have him, I think, but he's sitting in a storage locker, due to decreased space.
@JayJustice That Yoda was the only thing that I ever won. lol. We have had to downsize multiple times, since we developed financial problems after 9/11, so we no longer have space for him. I have in recent years considered selling him, but he's not in great condition anymore, and there's plenty of good memories associated with him, so I am probably just going to keep him.
