@Mastodon Already found a bug: Log In goes to the same panel as Get Started, doesn't let me enter my server's address (appdot.net). So it only filters users into massive mega-servers, which is exactly what we all do not want.

Second bug: Only supports one account. Who only has one fediverse account?

Third bug: Refers to "Mastodon", not Fediverse, excluding Pleroma, Misskey, etc.

Where's your bug tracker, I'm happy to file these.

Ugh, the @Mastodon repo is on github, which I won't put an account on for obvious reason (Microsoft). Anyone wanna go file these bugs for me?

@mdhughes @Mastodon Enter appdot.net into the search bar on the server picker. Long-press your profile picture in the bottom bar to add more accounts. This is the official Mastodon app, not the official Pleroma/Misskey/etc app.

@Gargron @Mastodon It still shows "no results" but if I hit Next anyway now it lets me log in. I dunno why grabbing server metadata would be so hard. But Join/Login ought to be distinct.

The multi-account is undiscoverable, people don't long-press without an indication.

It doesn't have to be the official Pleroma app to correctly note that the network is fediverse, Mastodon's just one set of nodes on it.

@Gargron @Mastodon Default timeline font size is smaller than editing font, both are too small without turning on accessibility size. It should have a consistent font & size slider in prefs.

@mdhughes @Gargron @Mastodon I'll second that. It's pretty, but oo is it squinty for my, uh, well-aged eyes.

A very exciting start and I know it'll go great places. Sticking to browser now because I like multi-column view, but well done!

@mdhughes @Mastodon Grabbing server metadata is not hard, and we do it.

I don't see why join/login ought to be distinct when you need to select a server in both cases.

There is an indication that you can long-press on first login, it's also a common UX pattern in other apps.

@Gargron @Mastodon Replies don't show up in the main timeline, only in notifs tab. Unlike the web client, and generally how other clients work.

@Mastodon why can’t we upload videos on the iOS platform? Everytime I try it closes out the app. Also how can I search other people and follow people? I’m new here and trying to help others on the platform.

@Mastodon the latest update of the app on my iPhone turned the UI into what I suspect is Finnish… but I’m Swedish so I can’t read it! I’m now going to press a button labeled “Julkaise” which I hope means to send, but to me it sounds like “Christmas bag”… 🤣
