I'm gaining weight :\
I need to join the gym.

start skipping 20 minutes daily.

Or 2.6 km running

@mhamzahkhan

@noorul I prefer resistance training/weight lifting, but I haven't really gone to the gym consistently since my first son was born almost 3 years ago. It's very difficult to fit gym into the routine while juggling between work, and two kids and a wife. 😂

well, heard you say, you wanna lose weight.

to lose weight, then workout is right choice.

if you wanna build body or physical strength, then #gym session with weight lifting is right.

also, since you are restarting after a long time, it is better you start with skipping (indoor) to bring back you stamina.

@mhamzahkhan

@noorul That's a very common misconception.

You lose fat by burning more calories than you take in.

Exercising is just a method of increasing the amount of calories you burn.

While it's true that with a cardio based workout, you would burn more during the workout compared to a resistance program, in the long term a weight lifting program will burn more as you will continue to burn more calories throughout the day

Calories burned lifting weights vs. cardio: Which is better?

Many people wonder what the best type of exercise is for burning calories. Cardiovascular exercises and weight training have different effects on the body and may influence weight loss or muscle gain. Here, learn more about how each type of exercise burns calories and which is best.

@noorul At the end of the day, both cardio and resistance training both increase the amount of calories you are burning, so if you combine it with a controlled intake of food (ie no more jalebi 😂 ), you will burn fat.

But weight training will definitely lose the weight faster 😋

@noorul Although for general fitness you should really combine all three - diet, cardio and resistance training!

oh cool info.

then #weight lift along #cardio helps.

during my gym session a decade ago, we start with #running 2.4 km then 40-50 min #gym #session
