En route home from work I had the pleasure of spotting a gentleman who was in distress: and indecently exposing the public to his genitalia.
City staff responded and were on the train car in 7 minutes and thirty seconds to collect him.
In the last week:
1. I witnessed a man corner another man in a transit shelter, and proceed to raise and smash their elbow across the trapped person's face.
This got missed in all of the #yyccc election hubbub, but this is a really good move by Calgary Transit.

A full Yellow Line bus rolled by my stop. :/
So, I was asked why I take the bus today.
Well, it's three reasons.
1. I'm priced out of car ownership in my province. Since 2019, the price of vehicles in Canada has surged an estimated ~50%. Also, there is about to be no auto insurance caps in Alberta.
I did the math, and if I buy a car in this market, I'd be spending almost as much as I do on rent to be able to drive (insurance plus parking stall plus car payment plus gas plus wear and tear).
The Yellow Line was once again too stuffed full of people.
So, I missed my bus. Again. 😡
Cutting budget corners for a Dani line? No. Spend the money, do it right the first time. Like 'Nenshi's nightmare' airport tunnel.
Facts:
1. Total price for the green line? $6.2 billion
2. Total price for cancelling it? $2.1 billion
3. That's 34% of the total price, folks.
This is UCP irresponsibility. Demand the funding be reinstated, folks. Let's get this built properly.
