🇬🇧 Hey, it's been a while !

I have been quite busy, but finally managed to test the camera I received in May: A Player One Poseidon-M.

For its first light, I decided on M31, the Andromeda Galaxy. It's a classic, but I was yet to take a decent picture of it. Are you happy with the result? I think it looks alright.

M31 is our closest big neighbour, "only" 2.5 million light-years away. You can actually see it with the naked eye if your sky is dark enough !

I used a Hα filter to highlight nebulae in the galaxy. All the pink clouds you see are actually star-forming regions.

🇨🇭 Hey, ça fait longtemps !

J'ai été très occupé (restez attentifs), mais j'ai enfin réussi à tester la caméra que j'ai reçu en mai : un Player One Poseidon-M.

Pour sa première lumière, j'ai choisi de pointer M31, la galaxie d'Andromède. C'est un classique, mais je n'en avais pas encore une photo correcte. Êtes-vous satisfaits du résultat ? Je trouve qu'il est plutôt réussi.

M31 est notre plus proche voisine, à "seulement" 2.5 millions d'années-lumière. Vous pouvez la voir à l'œil nu si le ciel est suffisamment sombre !

J'ai utilisé un filtre Hα pour mettre en valeur les nébuleuses de la galaxie. Tous les nuages roses que vous voyez sont en fait des régions de formation stellaire.

🇨🇭 **Version française :**
Culminant à 2002m d'altitude, le Moléson est l'un des sommets les plus emblématiques de Suisse Romande.
Situé dans les Préalpes fribourgeoises, il est réputé pour la vue magnifique qu'il offre sur les Alpes bernoises, le lac Léman et le plateau suisse. La légende raconte que l'on peut voir notre maison depuis le Moléson.
J'ai eu l'opportunité d'y passer quelques nuits dans le cadre de "la quinzaine de l'astronomie", organisé tous les ans autour du maximum des Perséides. Des astronomes amateurs montent avec leur matériel, et nous communiquons notre passion avec le public qui monte pour l'évènement.
C'est aussi une chouette occasion de rencontrer et revoir d'autres passionnés !
Après la soirée, nous descendons en téléphérique, et pouvons admirer la montagne depuis en bas. La voici surplombée de la Voie lactée.

The Moléson (2002m) is one of the most iconic peaks in French-speaking Switzerland.
Located in the Fribourg Prealps, it's renowned for the magnificent view it offers of the Bernese Alps, Lake Leman, and the Swiss plateau. The legend says one can see their home form the Moléson.
I've had the opportunity to spend several nights there as part of the "Fortnight of stars", organized every year around the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. Amateur astronomers bring with their equipment, and we share our passion with the public who make the journey for the event.
It's also a wonderful opportunity to meet and reconnect with fellow enthusiasts!
After the evening session, we take the cable car down and can admire the mountain from below. Here it is, topped by the Milky Way.
