I use the word "just" way too much. I can squeeze it into just about any sentence. It might be useful sometimes, but I just want to stop.

It's infinitely easier for me to 'reverse engineer' characters I create. I come up with interesting dynamics, and then I find an explanation why it's possible. Questions for characters like 'what food they like', 'what hobbies they have' are absolutely unusable for me somehow. First I know the vibe, and only then I reverse engineer all those small details if I ever need them at all

So, second novella (novellette? <20K words, so I'm not sure where it really lands) is about to get published to KDP. I'm at the point where the writing no longer fits the working title that well. It probably still works, but, I'm uncertain now.

While I started the work with a tone in mind, the harshness intended in the original title softened as I wrote, and the main character changed her stance in the midpoint. So… 🤷🏻‍♂️
