Y'all integrated chat folders, but to only show the first folder, with no folder settings in the production app, and the beta app is not much better. macOS and Linux users also confirmed the issue. My workaround for now is on the Android app moving the All Chats folder to the first/top position, Unreads second (which was the first), and so on, which syncs to the desktop client.

I appreciate Readdle apps (Documents in particular) and Spark offers a lot, but I’m still largely comfortable in Mail.app. Currently experimenting with quoting text from email for tasks and running an action that produces a Gmail search URL from that text. Short story: my email is provided by Gmail; Gmail search is better than Mail.app; as long as I’m able to reference the email associated with a task (easily), I’m okay. #workarounds https://toolsforthought.social/@jslr/114751270227375816

Over the past year or two, I’ve become quite comfortable with Mail.app as my primary mail client, and I’ve developed a habit of dragging and dropping emails to reference emails from tasks. But it looks like those URLs are a bit fragile; don’t persist indefinitely. Just had reason to tap on a few old (last year) refs and Mail.app opens but not the specific email intended. Might need to audition another mail client. Sigh.

- Seit 07/2017 sind anonyme #SIM-Karten faktisch illegal und ne SIM mir Rufnummer ist ne #Paywall die faktisch teurer ist als nen @monocles - Abo.
Allein die notwendigen #Workarounds sind so heftig paywalled dass es eher sinn macht 1h Hands-on - Training zu investieren...

PhilSalkieFound a solution to a problem I wasn't exactly aware of.
Thought I was having problems with my Android phone getting switched to silent or low volume, because I was missing many, many text messages.
Eventually realized that the text alert sound was coming out my headset, or out the phone speaker, but never both. I was sure it used to come out both, the phone ringing comes out both...
Realized that this is a new phone (with IR and thermal cameras) and that the problem started when I changed phones.
Some Internet searching determined that some utter moron at Google has decided that only phone ringing can play out both the headset and the phone speaker, text messages will come out the headset if it's connected, out the speaker only if no headset is connected. WTAF, people? I take my headset off and put it in my pocket - no texts for me. Update your Android, start missing texts.
A little more searching found an easy solution - install Tasker or If This Then That, and program a simple task to play a phone ringtone on any incoming text.
I've tested it for a couple weeks now, it's a flawless workaround for a problem caused by idiotic software designers who think they know more than their users. You can even program different ringtones for texts from different people if you like.
