Why Did the US Government Brief Groups of Christian Pastors About UFOs and Aliens?

Are aliens real? Do grays (a particular type of alien) actually exist? Where do they come from? Are they from another star system, or, do they come through an interdimensional portal as occupants of UFOs?

In February 2026 President Donald J Trump wrote on his Truth Social (my emphasis added):

Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

This led to a new website and the US government Department of War releasing documents that they have been collecting for the past 80 years. They have now released 165 documents of all their research on UAP, UFOs and alien activity. The documents were released in 3 tranches, the third was on May 8, 2026. On that government website the purpose is articulated.

In response to President Donald J. Trump’s directive for transparency on U.S. government information regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), the Department of War (DOW), with support from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), is overseeing government wide efforts to expeditiously find, review, identify, declassify and publicly release unresolved UAP-related records and historical documents in the federal government’s possession. This is an unprecedented, historic undertaking that requires coordination between dozens of agencies and the review of tens of millions of records, many existing only on paper, spanning many decades. Given the scope of this task, the Department of War will be releasing new materials on a rolling basis as they are discovered and declassified, with tranches posted every few weeks.

The materials archived here are unresolved cases, meaning the government is unable to make a definitive determination on the nature of the observed phenomena. This can occur for a variety of reasons, including a lack of sufficient data, and the Department of War welcomes the application of private-sector analysis, information and expertise. DOW will continue to conduct separate reporting on resolved UAP cases, as mandated by statute. Under this Administration, we will pursue the truth and share our findings with the American people.

Only 165 documents so far. And if you read through them there is nothing new. Certainly there are no interviews with alien beings like grays. Why not? To me it looks like they really do want the public to believe they are real. And the UFO footage is very similar to what we have seen before because they were leaked.

Military aircraft have seen, and tracked on radar, many fast moving UFOs. In the YT video below one pilot gets a “lock” on one such craft. I have no doubt they are authentic. Now the US government has confirmed that they are genuine.

Why did they do this at this time? And why has the US government been briefing groups of Christian pastors and telling them to prepare their churches for what is coming?

What sort of shock could that be?

I suppose they are implying that Christians would have a crisis of faith because the Genesis account implies all life is the creation of God and life only was created on Earth during the first few days of creation week. So if alien beings, ostensibly from other star systems, showed up and made contact with terrestrial humans that would indicate that the Bible must be wrong.

But there is much more to it than that.

The secular world and much of those in the old church system believe that the Earth is not thousands of years old but billions of years old. They also believe that life evolved on Earth from some primordial pond scum in the Hadean era after the planet had cooled sufficiently from the hot blob it allegedly started out as.

Goo-to-you biological evolution is the basic tenet, dogma, believed by faith, of those who reject the historicity of the Genesis account. They believe that life evolved on Earth because here we are discussing this, and therefore it must have also evolved elsewhere in the universe, because the universe is so large and must have millions of Earth-like planets in habitable zones around their parent suns. It is an article of faith.

Aliens from other star systems?

There must be according to them. So if some spacemen from another planet showed up on Earth bringing greetings “Take me to your leader!” the military would take that seriously. That is the projection here anyway. Is that what nefarious actors in the halls of power want you to believe? Or are they just fools?

The distances to other stars systems, even the closest are so enormous it makes interstellar travel impossible.

Ha, but not with advanced alien technology. They could fly many thousand times faster than the speed of light to travel here.

The idea of “warp drive” is actively discussed. But that is another impossibility, because to create a “warp bubble” one needs some exotic matter or negative energy, the stuff that doesn’t exist in the real universe.

So if no spacemen, then what are these aliens? Could they be visitors who have come through an interdimensional portal as occupants of UFOs?

The reality of UAP or UFOs and orbs is not disputed. It is their identity that is in question.

Now people have the notion that spiritual beings like angelic beings are ephemeral and have no substance to their body. For example demons are thought to be disembodied spirits that can enter into and possess humans and even animals. Well, that is true as described in the Bible. Jesus cast many demons out of a guy and into a herd of pigs (Matthew 8:28–34).

But also we know from the scriptures that angels took physical form and had real substance to their bodies.

In Genesis 19, we read of the case when the men of Sodom surrounded Lot’s house and demanded to have sex with the two angels who were visiting with him. The text in verse 5 states they wanted to “know” (a Hebrew euphemism for sexual intercourse) these strangers, who were actually angels in human form.

The argument often stated is that unlike demons, benevolent angels in the Bible (e.g., Genesis 18–19) are shown to physically manifest, eat, and be touched, suggesting that while spiritual beings can appear in physical form, demons are limited to possessing or deceiving through existing matter.

However from Revelation 12:7 it is made clear that the same Greek word ἄγγελος aggelos is used for all angelic beings whether they be good or bad.

So if God’s angels can materialise in this physical world why not Satan’s angels also?

In the following verses Revelation 12:8-9 we read that the Devil’s angels were cast out of the heavenly realm into this earthly physical realm. If they are now in this realm who are they? Grays? Aliens falsely representing themselves as an advanced race from another star system?

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his [Satan’s] ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Satan masquerades as an “angel of light”. He once was the light-bearer, the top angel in heaven. But this text is usually interpreted as Satan using a deceptive appearance or illusion rather than having a literal bodily transformation. Yet his ministers represent themselves as the good guys.

2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Hebrews 13:2 AKJV

This scripture commands believers not to neglect showing hospitality to strangers, as doing so may result in hosting angels without realizing their true identity.

This is what Abraham did (Genesis 18). Three strangers, men, came up to his tent and he rushed around, killed a lamb, baked bread and provided them with food and they ate it. These men turned out to be the Lord God (in a bodily form, verse 22) and two angels.

So here I might be “going out on a limb and sawing it off” but if the US government introduced the world to some alien creature, who has physical bodily form, claiming it to be from another system system, I would not be shocked. Nor would my faith suffer.

I would believe this as it is consistent with the deceptions of Satan. But it does not mean I would believe the lying spirits. Malevolent angels are still angels even though they might claim to be something else.

Then what about their flying vehicles, we call UFOs? What if the US government revealed one or fragments of one?

We know they are captured on radar and therefore they must reflect the transmitted radar signals in order that a fighter jet can get a lock on them. Also we have seen one shot down with a hellfire missile and it behaved with momentum being transferred to the broken up collision products just as we’d expect from standard physics. In short they have material substance to them.

This is pretty weird I must admit. But many things in the Bible are strange and some even more weird than that. For example, a human rising from the dead after being dead 4 days is truly amazing (Lazarus as reported in John 11:1–44). Or God being born on Earth as a baby (Jesus) in a human body is very unusual. Not only that, His body was prepared ahead of time, “a body have you prepared me” (Hebrews 10:5).

Melchisedec, whose name means “king of righteousness” and “king of peace”, is described in Hebrews 7 as having no recorded genealogy, no beginning of days, nor end of life, but like the Son of God and serving as an eternal priest.

Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like to the Son of God; stays a priest continually.

Hebrews 7:3 AKJV

That is also very weird for a human on Earth and he obviously had a physical body of some type. Was he an alien, angel or the Lord God in a pre-incarnate human-like body? The latter I think. Yet the point is this text illustrates a real tangible body for a non-human being.

You say, but that was God. I agree, but it does not diminish the argument that angelic beings can manifest in tangible form.

We could be soon be hearing of a great deception like alien spacemen being revealed to the world. I don’t know if it will happen, but if it did, I would welcome it because I know what it really means.

Warp Drive To Reach the Stars is Impossible

As humans living on this tiny planet we are isolated in a vast cosmic void. But humans have always had a desire to explore the unknown and the last frontier seems to now be Mars and the other planets of our solar system. Yet others have their sights set on farther destinations, the stars.

How could humans travel to the stars given their incredible distances? Is it even possible to do?

Hypothetically if one could travel at light speed one could reach the nearest star in 4 years. That might be an unbearable time to be locked up in a metal tube flying through the void, avoiding all contact with even the tiniest particle of space dust, which would destroy your spacecraft if contact were made. You’d need deflector shields for sure. But assuming that problem was overcome and you had life support for at least 8 years (to include the return journey) how could you travel at light speed? A “warp drive” has been suggested as the solution.

But what is the practical possibility of a “warp drive”, to travel at say a thousand times or a million times the speed of light?

The colloquial term “warp drive” comes from science fiction, most famously Star Trek. The faster-than-light warp drive of the Federation works by colliding matter and antimatter and converting the explosive energy to propulsion. Star Trek suggests that this extraordinary power alone pushes the ship at faster-than-light speeds.

Scientists have been studying and theorizing about faster-than-light space travel for decades. One major reason for our interest is pure pragmatism: without warp drive, we’re probably never making it to a neighboring star system. The closest such trip is still four years long at light speed.

Popular Mechanics

Four light-years may not sound like a great distance to you. That is the distance light would take travelling at nearly 300,000 km/s to reach the nearest star, Proxima Centauri. But is an enormous distance that defies understanding by the human mind.

With known, practical human developed technology at 0.002% the speed of light it would take at least 200,000 years to fly to Proxima Centauri. This is the reason theorists contemplate a “warp drive” spacecraft that can fly much much faster than the speed of light.

The concept has been on the drawing board for 30 years. It is totally theoretical because even though the theory is within the bounds of Einstein’s general relativity theory on gravitation the energy needed to warp space around the putative spacecraft requires negative energy, which is also called exotic matter.

In theory they might say that we have a design to fold space and that space could be propelled much faster than light speed. But where does the power source come from? Not from Star Trek’s hypothetical Di Lithium crystals, whatever they are.

The modern physics version dates to 1994, when Alcubierre, a theoretical physicist, proposed what became known as the Alcubierre drive. His idea worked inside Einstein’s general relativity by changing the geometry around the craft. Spacetime expands behind the ship and contracts in front of it. To an outside observer, that bubble could appear to move faster than light even though the ship locally stays inside the rules.

For years, the negative-energy requirement was the bugaboo. Alcubierre’s original concept was mathematically allowed, but it demanded the kind of matter and energy budget no one knows how to supply. Earlier this year, Alcubierre told Pop Mech that a roughly 100-meter bubble moving at light speed would require on the order of 100 Jupiter masses converted into negative energy, and he called a practical warp drive “very unlikely.”

Negative energy does not exist.

It is not something found anywhere in this universe. It is not found in antimatter like that fictional stuff used in the scifi Star Trek spacecraft engines. Antimatter is positive energy.

Negative energy means that if you combine it with positive energy (which is all known matter and energy in the universe) you would get zero, absolutely nothing because they would cancel each other out. Negative energy or exotic matter would be like antigravity. It repels! It does not attract like normal matter and energy.

Thus for Alcubierre’s theory to work it requires something that does not exist.

But in 2021 a new theory emerged.

Instead of treating a warp drive as a ship somehow moving through spacetime, treat the bubble itself as the object under study. In that framework, the authors argued that some subluminal warp-drive classes could use positive energy, at least in principle.

It looks like these new theorists have returned to this universe and only use positive, normal energy. But even in theory this one is not faster than light speed.

Then…

In a 2025 peer-reviewed paper, José Rodal described a warp-drive spacetime with predominantly positive invariant energy density and reduced energy-condition deficits. But Rodal still quantified a smaller, non-zero negative-energy burden.

More problems highlighted.

And José Natário, whose own research helped refine the warp-drive problem, told Pop Mech this year that superluminal travel is impossible and pointed to a stubborn practical issue: even if a warp bubble could exist, steering it and stopping it remain unsolved.

That is an honest assessment. But scientists have continued to believe that in the far flung future all problems of a warp drive engine could be theoretically solved. But that is by faith, not science. It is just wishful thinking, dreaming of the impossible. And besides another enormous problem is that no one has any idea how you could construct such a spacecraft, let alone power it with negative energy.

No, we are isolated here on Earth for good reason. The planet is our home in a vast universe void of all other life. This planet was created by the Designer for our existence until He renovates it making a New Earth and New Heaven for all those who put their trust in Him.
