Video production is moving closer to software engineering.
Over 25,000 developers are using Remotion, a React-based framework, to generate videos programmatically—no traditional editors, no timelines.
Videos become reusable components.
Scaling becomes trivial.
Automation becomes native.
An interesting direction for developer-first creative tooling.

On Thursday I did a live coding performance supporting Avalanche Kaito. It was such an honour and they're a great band. Chek out this live performance recording https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL43jbMnoOQ
I recorded my performance but forgot to set a high enough bitrate for the visuals so the recording came out blurry. Rather than despair I leaned into the lofi-ness and decided to set up an analog video editing rig and edit it with some live footage!
On one laptop is the visuals and the other is the live recording. Using a bunch of hdmi/vga to composite converters I fed them into the Videonics MX1 and then added a couple of titles using the VideoTech titler (both picked up on ebay for about £30 total). To keep the videos in sync across two laptops I used a really awesome free and open source tool called Syncplay which does exactly what you think it does! https://syncplay.pl/ Very easy to set up and worked first time!
I then just did as many cheesy transitions as possible!
