Working on an attract mode for Hypnogenesis today. I wrote a little AI that does a reasonable job of playing the game. Enough that I can drop it into any room let it do its thing.

Bonus is that the title plays with a lot of the game feedback in a fun way.

Create a video feedback loop ๐ŸŒ€ using a TV ๐Ÿ“บ, video mixer ๐ŸŽ›๏ธ, camera ๐Ÿ“น and RCA cables ๐Ÿ”Œ!

The mixer is a Panasonic WJ-MX12 that I bought for 75 euros. The camera is my old Sony DCR-HC17E, a Mini-DV camcorder (actually this was my first camera!) ๐ŸŽฅ

The video mixer allows me to change the colors and add effects such as strobe, mosaic and paint. ๐ŸŽจโœจ

Hypnogenesis isn't ~just~ interactive video art. It's also a nasty arcade game, so of course @allen and I added a high score screen.

I originally titled the screen "Invaders" but Allen correctly pointed out that people would think that was the name of the game. We'll find otherwise to drip feed the narrative.
