Assertive #PandemicSpeak: instead of correcting everyone in everyday conversation who keeps saying “during Covid” or “in the pandemic” by telling them #Covidisntover, I am now sticking to my own language by using “since Covid.” All of them will hear me, some of them will get it, and in this way I can also converse about #Covid and the past without indicating that I’m on board with the unreality of it being “over.”
