However, according to a recent opinion piece posted on Hacker News, the current incentive system in the software industry is at fault, and the industry must change if it wants to meet real user needs.

Considering how bad the HBO Android app is, and how equally bad the Discovery+ app is, I think the whole HBO / Warner Media / Discovery+ merger thing is a match made in heaven. It's a great way to lose customers.
