The dinosaurs are in town #sweden #göteborg #universeum

#FotoVorschlag - Rauf und runter.

Taken from the roof of the #Universeum in #Gothenburg, #Sweden and showing excavation below ground level and modern buildings rising above. And a dinosaur. You've got to have a dinosaur.

Today's random photo from the #travel archive for #TravelTuesday is a pair of caimans (I think) from the Universeum science building in Gothenburg, Sweden. We're fond of science, zoos, and aquariums so we were drawn to this impressive place in the city. A good place for those with children, based on just how many of the noisy buggers were there, but we enjoyed it too.

difficulties with creating inclusive spaces and work groups with excluded communities:
- fear of the institution
- fear of being exposed
- how to sustain the inclusion in the long run
- trust and how to build it

Silke Ackermann:
"Inclusion isn't just letting people through the door. we need to address the systemic imbalances and actually admit the existence of exclusion. how to bring all communities together and create trust between them? we have to stop treating excluded communities as numbers and exercise of sorts in various projects."

Marta C. Lourenço:
there are 3 big problems of university museums:
1. the situation of university museums is still volatile. there are constant tensions - between the university's past and its future, plus the tensions on macro and micro levels,
2. medical collections,
3. decolonization.
