Tonight I watched "The Bride of Frankenstein" (1935)

I enjoyed the returning cast, though I expected more screen time for the title character. There was less humor in this one compared to the previous 4 Universal monster movies I've watched this month.

4/5 ⭐ the monster's character becoming more fleshed out was nice, and production was much better. Another fun movie

Tonight I watched Dracula (1931)

I decided this October I would watch a Universal monster movie I haven't seen each night until the end of the month.

I was surprised how quiet the movie was, essentially no music and very little sound effects. Visual effects were very inexpensively done, but they work. The silence I think helped set the tone, but some might find it boring.

3.5/5 ⭐ Renfield stole the show for me
