A 2024 piece never seen before…until now.
This is a really hot outfit worn by Jay Aston, one of the members of 80s hit group The Fizz (Bucks Fizz).
Again, super easy to pull out old unreleased pieces with my organization. Happy Sunday.

I'm seeing some really cool mid-1960s British pop/rock tunes on Masto today, so I thought I'd add one to the mix.
Chris Farlowe has been largely forgotten, but his cover of this Rolling Stones song is an absolute monster. It stayed in the UK charts for 40 weeks.
You can hear Mick Jagger & Keith Richard in the backup chorus. Jimmy Page played acoustic guitar on the session.

I tried to find that old "down on the Trent" pop song, and the Interweb thinks that it doesn't exist.
Fill your earholes with the charming lofi indie pop of "Chasing Last Year's Snow" from @johnyNocash An accessible, very British take on the genre that put me a bit in mind of the Badly Drawn Boy albums ex wife # 2 liked so much (I thought they were fine, too!), though I am told it is not a direct influence in any way.

@johnyNocash I had a listen to most of "Chasing Last Year's Snow" and found it to be a very accessible, charming collection of lofi indie pop. Very much in the British vein of that genre, which I am not terribly versed in, but puts me in mind of the Badly Drawn Boy albums ex wife # 2 liked so much (I thought they were fine, too!). (If that comparison sucks, sorry, just not well versed in the genre.)
