Da ich ja immer gerne auch Neues teste, war die Versuchung groß, #twonly auf mein Shift6m zu schieben. Bei #fdroid ist es aber nicht zu finden. Also die #Paketquelle hinzugefügt und F-Droid meckert: Einige Apps wurden aufgrund Ihrer Einstellungen zu unerwünschten Merkmalen ausgeblendet.
In meinen Einstellungen werden aber nur Pakete, welche nicht quelloffen sind, ausgeschlossen.
Aber ich denke, das wird schon noch. Rom ist ja auch nicht an einem Tag abgebrannt 😎

This is a repository of apps to be used with F-Droid. Applications in this repository are either official binaries built by the original application developers, or are binaries built from source by the admin of f-droid.org using the tools on https://gitlab.com/fdroid.
The goal of #twonly is to be a #secure and #privacy friendly replacement for #Snapchat. Nevertheless, essential features such as flames and scores are of course still included. But unlike #Snapchat, these are stored exclusively on the device.
The twonly-Score indicates how many pictures you have sent to your friends (and received in the old version) since registering. My score is currently 13291. Can anyone beat me?
Since the last update, #twonly finally supports groups. Similar to #Signal, an encrypted group state is stored on the server to support multiple admins. The key for the encrypted state is known only to the participants, so that the server never knows who is in the group. For each admin, a public key exclusively created for this group is uploaded. With this, the encrypted state can be updated without the server being able to identify the user.
#twonly uses the #signalprotocol to encrypt all messages end-to-end. As with #signal, you can check the security number via the QR code to make sure that everything went smoothly during the key exchange.
Currently only German and English are available. Japanese and French will be added soon. However, as #twonly is #opensource, additional languages can easily be added via a pull request. The corresponding string files can be added under the following link:

#twonly can be used #anonymous. Neither a telephone number nor an e-mail is required for registration. To restore your twonly identity if you lose your phone, you can create an anonymous backup. You can also use your own backup server, such as #nextcloud. The concept used is similar to that of #threema Safe.
Sometimes you want to send pictures that really only two (two only = twonly) people should see. You and the recipient. With #twonly you can protect your picture with the heart sign so that the recipient has to authenticate themselves before opening the picture. And, of course, with twonly the picture is encrypted end-to-end like all others.
There are secure alternatives for almost all #BigTech apps that don't sell users' data.
For #whatsapp, there's @signalapp or @threemaapp.
For #Twitter, there is @Mastodon.
But for #snapchat, there has been no real alternative so far. So I did it myself and started #twonly. A European, #opensource alternative where all messages are encrypted end-to-end.
