Ein Team der Universität #Tsukuba entwickelt eine Magnesium-Luft-Batterie ohne #Lithium oder seltene Elemente.

Neben #Magnesium kommen #Kohlenstoff, #Chlor und #Stickstoff zum Einsatz. Mit Gel-Elektrolyt und dotiertem #Graphen soll chemische Zersetzung verhindert werden.

Im Labor erreichte die Zelle über 1.000 Wh pro kg und blieb über 174 Ladezyklen stabil. Langzeitdaten fehlen bisher.
