I'm waiting for #tRunts lawyers in the #EJeanCarrol case to suggest that punitive damages would be cruel and unusual because NO AMOUNT would keep #tRunt from spewing his crap. I'd also love to see the other side suggest that punitive damages should be half of his fortune. "The only way to make him behave is to make it real. Take half. If he does it again, take the other half.".

I'm certain that #SCOTUS will not rule in #tRunts favour. It's not that they haven't been bought; it's that, if #tRunt has absolute immunity, so does #PresidentBiden.

So, #tRunts lawyers asked for an early ruling. I'm not a lawyer but let's think this through. The judge has already ruled that Donny is liable and we are actually now in the penalty phase of the trial. The prosecution has put on all of it's witnesses. The only part of the trial remaining would be that part that would *mitigate* damages. Why on earth would the defence want to cut that part short, and why wouldn't the judge simply agree and move on to the final stage?
