A Deschutes County jury ruled Friday in favor of Mt. Bachelor after hearing several days of testimony in a $15 million wrongful death lawsuit brought against the resort by the father of a Bend man who died in a tree well in March 2018, one of two people who died in tree wells on the mountain the same day.
A tree well is a hole of loose or unconsolidated snow surrounding a tree, forming a hazard when skiing in the backcountry. Unfortunately, this is what happened recently at Purgatory Resort in Colorado when a skier fell into a tree well and died. https://rec-law.us/3yrCyCx
