In 1983, a driver turning his delivery van from eastbound 24th Street to southbound Mission in San Francisco ran over my foot. He didn't have great visibility and was trying to beat the crowd crossing Mission at the green.

Looking back, I've always said that it was good I wasn't pushing a stroller.

Maybe some intersections need both right and left turn on green arrow, and those arrows only on when no #pedestrian traffic is allowed to cross.
I don't know.
