Thoughts on Danny Haiphong? - Lemmygrad

A few people had mentioned in this thread about Jiang [https://lemmygrad.ml/post/11065676] that they dislike or distrust Danny Haiphong, so I was just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on Danny? I used to watch some of his interviews, depending on who his guest was, but now I can’t even remember the last time I watched his channel. His guests seem to be getting worse in quality, like he’s had Jiang on multiple times now for example. Also his titles and thumbnails are extremely clickbaity to the point of almost being misinformation sometimes, which is really irritating.

Thoughts on neo-, the prefix? - Lemmygrad

Prompted by this post [https://lemmygrad.ml/post/9651712], but my question would be way off topic for that thread. > Hebrew neofascist threatens pro-Palestine protesters in Toronto with ammonium hydroxide This is not an attack on OP. I know the use of “neo-” is widespread with some cases like “neo-colonialism” being vastly more meaningful than others *cough*Yanis*cough*. What does the modifying prefix “neo” do here, if I may ask? Zionism is a fascist ideology that predates even the coining of the term. Neo means “new” and implies different. Does “neo-fascism” have any legitimate meaning except in a hypothetical situation where we are specifically talking about a new iteration/evolution of Mussolini’s brand of fascism? It is similar if not the same with "neo-Nazi. As long as the ideology doesn’t qualitatively change, adding a prefix simply to delineate a difference of time seems to obfuscate and weaken. It risks removing the word from its original meaning, connotations and implications. As such, the trend may well be driven by a desire to do just that and should be viewed with suspicion. Thoughts?

What could've saved or changed the Soviet Union in terms of reforms? - Lemmygrad

I’m currently on about what things could’ve helped the Soviet Union not fall under leadership of Khrushchev, Brezhnev and Gorbachev or what reforms and changes could’ve saved the Soviet Union or is its rigidity of the Soviet system and the revisionist power of people like Khrushchev and the nomenklature too strong? I’m asking in a way to help construct or at least feel satisfied with keeping the Soviet Union still exist in fiction.
