Thoughts on communists slaveowners?

What are you trying to imply here? That employing people is being a slave owner or something?
That’s libelous and offensive! I’m a slave renter.

I know you’re being tongue in cheek, but I guess the comparison made here is one of the consequences of vague hyperbole to make a point rather than dialectical analysis. Usually from what I’ve seen (not here because people usually delve into class/caste analysis instead, but elsewhere) is it’s from the other end, of someone comparing employment under capitalism to slavery. So if one takes that as very literal and true, I guess it’s not the weirdest thing to reverse it and view employers as slave owners - or as you put it, slave “renters”.

But this kind of framing taken too seriously would fast lead to bizarre ultra-left positions of pure passionate disgust. No AES state would be valid because it has people employing and people employed despite being run by a communist vanguard and therefore “supports slave labor.”

How often things circle back to, “We really need more political education and less shallow sloganeering.”

AES states are going in the right direction. He’s a comprador capitalist and probably not even communist just anti-imperialist.

How can one be a comprador and also an anti-imperialist?

Thanks for making my day with this post btw.

This is actually a pretty funny Western Leftist™ moment.
