Thoughts on Danny Haiphong? - Lemmygrad

A few people had mentioned in this thread about Jiang [https://lemmygrad.ml/post/11065676] that they dislike or distrust Danny Haiphong, so I was just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on Danny? I used to watch some of his interviews, depending on who his guest was, but now I can’t even remember the last time I watched his channel. His guests seem to be getting worse in quality, like he’s had Jiang on multiple times now for example. Also his titles and thumbnails are extremely clickbaity to the point of almost being misinformation sometimes, which is really irritating.

If using cringe thumbnails/titles and inviting the occasional weirdo on gets more people exposed to anti-imperialist and pro-communist views, then maybe it is worth it? Even though we may find it distasteful. I definitely think he has found a niche, but it’s not something other communist content creators need to be doing. In fact i would very much prefer if they didn’t. Because while this may appeal to some it is also very off-putting for others. We need a diversity of tactics in our propaganda effort.

There are too few voices for the left who gain even a modicum of notoriety, so I try not to bash the few who manage a following. You Tube is now such a reactionary minefield of censorship, Danny not getting banned is miracle unto itself.
