So glad I made it to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse last summer. The bell house was heavily damaged by huge waves this week. The front wall shown in this photo was blown out. Crazy!

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse — Maine fine-art photography prints

Late evening light illuminates Maine's Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and its associated bell house. The old lighthouse was commissioned in 1827 by John Quincy Adams to mark the entrance to Muscongus Bay and Johns Bay. The existing structure was built in 1835 to replace the original lighthouse, which was crumbling because of inferior construction. Pemaquic Point Lighthouse was featured on the Maine quarter, the 23rd in the 50 State Quarters Program issued by the U.S. Mint. Add this gorgeous print to your home of office to bring a nautical atmosphere into your daily space. Choose from high-quality print options including satin fine-art paper, exhibit metal prints, acrylic prints and traditional canvas gallery wraps.
