On May 9th, we will be recording episode 850, entitled "Listeners' Choice". We do this every year as part of our Best Of shows, which also includes Dave's Faves and Moo's Choons. Listeners' Choice invites all of our listeners to submit their favourite tracks that we've played between episode 803 and 849, and we'll play them again in a show completely driven by listener requests. Why not be a part of it! 🎶

Saturday 05:31
The weekend is finally here.
Since I don't really sleep full nights, but rather a series of naps I wake up quite often and wonder what time it is now.

Yesterday I worked from home, having taken home a bunch of paperwork from my #FoodBank office on Thursday to catch up on. The idea is to work 8 hours per day, but I am pretty sure I worked over 12 hours yesterday and got FULLY caught up with all I wanted to do.
I was so intense in the work that I forgot to attend TheBugcast live chat at 16:30. Once I realised what time it was, the show was over.
So, now listening: https://thebugcast.org/2025/04/05/846-shoot-your-shot/
Dave and Caroline pick 4 tracks each, so the fact that 7 of the 8 tracks are from the USA is totally random. The other is from Germany.
One of the artists is Catherine Corelli, originally from Moscow, Russia, my new personal Kentuckian friend that I look forward to meeting in person next month. Her track "Sick" was played.

Don't really have any plans for today, apart from rest and housework.
It's going to be an extremely rainy day today anyway.
I had thought of going to downtown Lexington, KY this afternoon for the Hands Off! gathering at 15:00-17:00, but as I said, there is a rain storm expected. Plus parking!

I hope that you have a relaxing Saturday and weekend my friend.

After a whole bunch of napping last evening, I woke up in the middle of the night, made Coffee and ate Lasagne (as you do!), worked on a MissionAssist project, then went back to bed.

Now fully awake again, but brewing up some wonderful Laos Coffee from Every Tribe Coffee to make sure!

Listening to last evening's TheBugcast Podcast, which due to technical issues was not live-broadcast.

I have fully recovered from the Stomach Flu from last weekend.
This past week of work at the Food Bank has been extremely busy. #FoodBank
Therefore I am resting up today as much as possible.
That said, I know Arianna wants to clean up our back porch, so I will probably assist with that, especially the heavy lifting part.

Take care of yourself this weekend, those that you love, and everyone around you!

Friday 05:33
Have been totally wide awake for a couple of hours, and now getting ready to go to my #FoodBank office for 06:00.
As has been my pattern this week, I shall work 4-6 hours there, come on home, nap, eat, and get back to work from home.
Had a really good chat with my boss Vice President and the HR Director about helping me with working hours and location (office / home).
Today I shall placing a bunch of purchased food orders to take us through the end of the fiscal year to June 2025.

Since there is currently still a 4 hour time difference between Eastern US and UK, I shall be attending The Bugcast live chat for the livestream at 17:30.
Please join us in Telegram (it's not Signal!!!).

Tonight on @thebugcast we heard a song by Scot Stoddard named "Cry No More", a really good track.
Then I was delighted to hear that Scot is here in Kentucky, relatively close to me in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, 46 miles from my home in Lexington, Kentucky.
His Link Tree is: https://linktr.ee/scotstoddard
I am sure I shall be checking out his Bandcamp to listen to more of his music.
Please check him out also.

Friday 22:17
Went to bed before 21:00, feeling absolutely drained.
This morning I received my 2nd Shingles Shot from the Doctor's Office and Influenza Shot from Publix.
Went to work for a couple of hours, but started feeling really woozy. My most excellent boss Danielle told me to go home.
Been on / off napping all afternoon & evening.
Didn't even make it to TheBugcast live show.
Tomorrow I shall most probably stay at home all day:
a) I do have a 06:00 appointment with the 30 hours of prayer, but will probably do that from home.
b) Rescheduled my Blood Donation 09:00 appt to the following Saturday.
c) Arianna had been invited to a lady's Baptism at the Church building at 16:30, but the event has been moved to Sunday's 2nd service at 11:00. I had planned to attend & witness also.
Although I shall rest up as much as possible, I shall still work on 2 weeks worth of laundry, and complete my MissionAssist allocated Bible chapters over the weekend.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers my friends.
